We are building a Culturally Appropriate Library The library is to be dedicated in the name of Elon Carter (seen laying above), a young man that lost his life in a car accident in 2020. We will be honoring him with this brand new Library at the program. The youth in the program will design and help build this library in honor of their peer. This library will be a reflection of the diverse population of students that live in our neighborhood and attend the program. It will honor Elon and inspire youth with his favorite pastime, reading.

To Union College which has always been a support, and to the Union College students whose dedication and determination on many occasions kept the doors of our program open.

Updated: Jun 7 C.O.C.O.A Champions Center will be a teen resource center for the youth of Schenectady. Our current programing is aimed at elementary aged children and we want to extend our reach to support our youth as they navigate their adolescent years. We will be providing programming specialized to teens and helping them prepare for their future going into adulthood.
Updated: Jun 1 Because of the national and global shutdown caused by COVID-19 C.O.C.O.A House could not provide it's usual after school services, but that did not stop us from doing everything we could for the community.
