C.O.C.O.A. House would like to spotlight its many volunteers this year and their work with the kids in the community. This year, we saw 80 volunteers and work-study students from Schenectady’s own Union College help out at C.O.C.O.A. House. From teaching kids everyday skills, to homework help, to even racing students down Stanley Street in Schenectady, the volunteers made it their mission to brighten each child’s day.
With Union College students going home for summer vacation, there will be a void in the C.O.C.O.A. House. However, many of the volunteers brought joy and light to the program as they dedicated their valuable time to helping bring smiles to kids' faces. Thus, the year was spent giving a fruitful experience to volunteers, works study, and of course, the youth.
